Choosing Results: Additional Exercises

  1. Think of a topic that you are studying in school, or ask your teacher for a topic to search on. Find and evaluate three web sites which provide information about that topic. Put together a quick summary that compares the three sites; in your evaluation be sure to include:

    • Your search topic
    • The urls (addresses) of the web sites you choose
    • Your evaluation criteria (content, intent, author, etc.)
    • Your conclusions (would you use the site for your research? Why or why not?)
